To calculate the total suspended solids concentration in mg/L:
Determine weight of dry solids in grams
Determine weight of dry solids in milligrams (mg)
Determine the TSS concentration in mg/L
Example:
Sample Volume, mL 250 mL Weight of Dry Solids & Filter, grams 2.3046 g Weight of Dry Filter, grams 2.2974 g
